These illustrations were based on the Chanel S/S 13 collection. I really wanted to illustrate a collection that allowed me to combine my embroidery skills with intricate detailing and patterns and lino printing. I was again interested in the brands identity and the classic signs of a Chanel collection is to me the sophistication highlighted by pearls, beads, embroidery and beautiful fabric detailing. I wanted to keep the illustrations as classic and simplistic as possible whilst providing a slightly more contemporary feel by combining the traditional methods of embroidery and digital elements.
